Compressors are crucial rotating equipment with a wide variety of uses in multiple industries. From desalination plants to the oil and gas industry, where compressors are used to move a wide variety of gaseous mixtures, there is an ample selection of compressors in service in the industries we cater to. We offer services to all displacement and dynamic compressors.
We offer services for all types of rotary compressors commonly available. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Scroll compressors are mostly used in HVAC systems.
- Screw compressors offer efficiency and high-volume capacities and are one of the most common types of rotary compressors. They are widely used in oil and gas, petrochemical, food and beverages, power, and a few other industries.
- Vane compressors are simple and have various auxiliary uses in industries.
- Lobe compressors are actively used in wastewater treatment, cement plants, steel manufacturing, etc.
- Liquid vane compressors are commonly used for chemical processing, carbon dioxide treatment, chlorine compression, etc.
We offer complete repair, maintenance, and overhaul services for all reciprocating compressors: single-acting, double-acting, single-stage, multi-stage, and the diaphragm type. Intersel has been providing services to the oil and gas, and chemical industry’s reciprocating compressors for over three decades. Many of the typical compressor failures can be traced back to maintenance oversights, which isn’t a problem when we take over the maintenance responsibilities of an industry via a contract that covers compressors.
Intersel’s engineers and technicians are equipped to offer a complete array of services for all single-stage and multi-stage compressors, integrally geared, and with different casting configurations (horizontally/vertically split and bell casing). Centrifugal compressors are quite common in high-volume/low-compression requirement applications.
We offer complete services for axial compressors, typically catering to high-mass flow rate applications of all types. This includes axial compressors with different rotor constructions (drum/disk).

We offer flexible maintenance contracts specifically pertaining to compressors or complete plant maintenance that includes compressors. This may include both preventive and predictive maintenance, which has the potential to prolong the life of your compressors as they will be maintained, repaired, and overhauled at just the right time.
Intersel’s field engineers and technicians offer repair services both on-site and off-site. They focus on restoring the compressor to as-new condition or improving the original configuration for better operational parameters. We also offer complete overhauls – from disassembling the entire equipment and inspecting it, repairing and replacing worn parts, to reassembling and testing the equipment.
We maintain an extensive inventory of replacement parts for compressors from several international and local manufacturers. For legacy compressors, unsupported units, or components that may take too much time to arrange, we may also offer fabrication services.
Intersel’s experienced professionals are ideally equipped to provide training related to routine compressor maintenance and partial replacements, to the client’s maintenance team. This can help mitigate breakdown frequencies and downtime (to an extent).
